$30,000 Gateway Prize To Bobby Pierce By: SPEED SPORT Staff

ST. LOUIS — Bobby Pierce led flag to flag to win the third annual VP Gateway Dirt Nationals Saturday night inside The Dome at America’s Center.

Pierce banked $30,000 for winning the prestigious indoor race for the second consecutive year racing virtually unchallenged throughout the 50-lap dirt late model event.

Billy Moyer started fourth and rode in second throughout the majority of the event as a massive crowd watched Pierce hit his marks lap after lap.

Don O’Neal finished third, with Jason Welshan, Ryan Unzicker and Billy Moyer Jr. rounding out the top five.

Christopher Bell won the companion midget feature and Mike Harrison topped the modified main event.
