Dale Earnhardt Jr. forms company to produce Dale Jr. potato chips
And he has the most popular name in NASCAR.
Now, according to the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal, he has his own brand of potato chips.
Earnhardt has formed a partnership with Minnesota snack company KLN Family Brands to form Dale Jr. Foods.
The Perham, Minn.-based company, which makes Barrel O’Fun snacks, will produce four Dale Jr. flavors: Crispy Original, Carolina Barbecue, Creole & Green Onion and Zesty Jalapeno.
KLN is a family-owned company and said in a news release that it strives to form relationships with groups that put family and community first, the Business Journal reported.
Earnhardt is the son of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt and owns JR Motorsports with his sister, Kelley Earnhardt-Miller. Earnhardt’s team employees several family members and supports the racing efforts of his nieces.
Barrel O’Fun snacks are distributed predominately in the Midwest, but the Dale Jr. chips will be distributed nationwide beginning in February, the company said.
