To no one’s surprise, the NASCAR/IndyCar lineup of Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray, that won in 2015 will be back to defend their overall win in the No. 02 Riley-Ford DP. The second car, the No. 01, will be piloted by Alex Wurz, Andy Priaulx, Brendon Hartley and Canadian teenager Lance Stroll. “We’re proud to have defending Prototype Champions from last year, along with the excitement worldwide with the reintroduction of the Ford GP, said Ganassi. “I think we’ve built a strong effort for the 2016 race in the Prototype class, which gives us two more solid chances to get to victory lane.” Sponsorship details and liveries for the two Prototype entries will be announced at a later date, as will the endurance drivers of the Ford GT cars in the GT Le Mans class.
