Realtruck.com Upgrades X-Modifieds for the 10th Annual Wild West Shootout

(August 18th, 2015) – With only five months remaining before the 10th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, excitement continues to mount as the stakes continue to heighten. The prestigious January event has risen to new levels as REALTRUCK.com comes aboard for the second consecutive year as the title sponsor for the Wild West Shootout X-Modifieds.

 

The REALTRUCK.com X-Modifieds will join the Wild West Shootout schedule for all six days of the event competing for $500 to win each night with a $1,000 winner’s share on each of the Sunday events January 10 and 17.

The 2016 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout – scheduled for six nights of competition between Jan. 9-17 – is shaping up as a blockbuster in its 10th year of existence. The best of the best in Super Late Models and Barnett Harley-Davidson Modifieds will tackle USA Raceway’s 3/8-mile clay oval for events on Jan. 9, 10, 13, 15, 16 and 17 and chase more than $170,000 in prize money.

National Super Late Model stars Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tenn., and Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., went head-to-head in the 2015 Wild West Shootout with both drivers winning two events. Lanigan picked up the opening round feature and Owens captured the $10,000 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout finale, while Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, scored a mid-week win over Lanigan that helped launch him to the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Late Model championship.

Las Cruces, N.M.’s Jake Gallardo, meanwhile, topped the 2015 Barnett Harley-Davidson Modified Wild West Shootout championship points’ battle.

 

Jamestown, N.D driver Scott Bintz reached REALTRUCK.com X-Modified victory lane three out of five attempts and claimed the 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout crown.

More than 100 of the top cars and drivers from across the continent will take to the track over the six-day event that begins on Sat., Jan. 9, with the Wild West Shootout opener and concludes with the big-money finale on Sun., Jan. 17.
