STARTING LINEUP FOR THE NASCAR CLASH AT DAYTONA BY:  MATT WEAVER

The 20-car race is the annual pre-season exhibition event

 Opening Day at Daytona International Speedway ended with a positional draw for the Advanced Auto Parts Clash.

For the annual pre-season exhibition race, the crew chiefs for all 20 entrants drew the starting positions for their drivers.

Paul Menard and Kyle Busch will lead the field to the green flag for the 75-lapper. Reigning winner Brad Keselowski will line-up third with new Roush-Fenway Racing driver Ryan Newman fourth with Alex Bowman completing the top-five.

Saturday afternoon featured practice for the Clash and Daytona 500. In the sole Clash practice session, Chase Elliott and Newman ignited a four-car crash that also included Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick.

Hamlin and Elliott will have to start with backup cars will start the race from the back of the field.
