Tony Stewart tools around Charlotte Motor Speedway in a tank
Tony Stewart has been getting a lot of attention lately.
On Sunday night at Bristol, Stewart made national headlines after he threw his helmet at the car of fellow driver Matt Kenseth after the two were involved in a wreck.
On Tuesday, Smoke was back on the track, only he wasn’t in his usual No. 14 car.
Stewart was at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Mobil 1, one of his main sponsors.
Racing fans got the chance to vote on the Mobil 1 Facebook page for which ride they would like to see Stewart drive around the track.
The choices were a 1999 Chevrolet Astro van, an M36 GMC Jackson Tank, a GoPro Drift Camaro and a Grandsport Corvette.
After a tournament-style vote, the tank was defeated by the Camaro.
And while Stewart stayed true to the contest and did some laps in the Camaro, he didn’t pass up on the chance to get behind the wheel of the tank.
