TRAVIS PASTRANA SET TO BREAK 3 OF EVEL KNIEVEL’S RECORDS

If anyone can do this, it’s Pastrana.

It happens live on the History Channel July 8

Stuntman, X Games star, driver and motocrosser Travis Pastrana is staking his claim as the premier stunt-doer in the U.S. on July 8 as he tries to beat two and match one of Evel Knievel’s most famous feats.

“Evel Live,” a three-hour broadcast on the History Channel, will feature Pastrana first jumping 52 cars, then another jump over 16 full-size buses and finally flying over the Caesar’s Palace fountain. If Pastrana was using a fully modern dirtbike with tons of suspension travel and maneuverability, it would be an amazing accomplishment. But since he’s using a 750cc v-twin Indian Scout motorcycle that can’t be manipulated while airborne like a dirtbike, if he gets out alive, it will be a miracle.

If Pastrana rides away healthy, according to the History Channel, he will be the only person to successfully beat two of Knievel’s distance records andland a jump over the fountain on a v-twin motorcycle.

The event will be captured live, and the show will feature live interviews with Knievel and Pastrana family members, archival footage and analysis.

If anyone can do this, it’s Pastrana. He was the first to land a double backflip on a motorcycle, he jumped building to building on another one, and he jumped out of a plane with no frickin’ parachute.
